Bossier City, La- Today Louisiana’s Attorney General, Jeff Landry, endorsed fellow conservative Mike Johnson for Congress.
Attorney General Landry said, “Before I was elected Attorney General, I served in Congress as a voice for the people of Louisiana. From my own experience, I know Mike has what it takes to be a leading voice in Congress. I know he will stick to his conservative convictions even as the Washington establishment tries to push him in another direction. Mike and I have fought together in Baton Rouge for conservative principles, including tackling the fraudulent use of taxpayer dollars, challenging Governor Edwards' tax increases that harm Louisiana businesses and families, and opposing failed Sanctuary City policies. I am confident Mike will continue to fight for our conservative Louisiana values in Washington.”
"I am truly humbled to receive the endorsement of my good friend, Attorney General Jeff Landry," said Rep. Mike Johnson. "When Jeff was in Congress, he earned a reputation as one of its most conservative members and most effective champions for the people. I will do the same. I appreciate his confidence, leadership and his endorsement."
Johnson has been named "MVP for Business" by the La. Association of Business and Industry, and received the “Faith, Family & Freedom” Award by the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C. Johnson has been endorsed by many other national and state leaders and conservative organizations, such as The Senate Conservatives Fund, The Club for Growth, FreedomWorks PAC, the Bossier Parish Republican Party, the Webster Parish Republican Party, Conservative Leadership PAC, Family Research Council Action, and Citizens United Political Victory Fund. He is rated 100% by Louisiana Right to Life, the Louisiana Sheriffs' Association and Louisiana Family Forum. Johnson is the only candidate endorsed the Gun Owners of America and “A” rated by the NRA.
