Speaker Johnson Raises Over $20 Million in First Quarter to Grow the Majority

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Mike Johnson announced he raised more than $20 million in the first quarter of 2024. This is Johnson’s first full quarter as Speaker as he leads the Republican Conference to grow the majority this year.

“I am grateful for the incredible support of grassroots supporters and Americans all across our country who are eager to end the disastrous Biden presidency, grow our majority in Congress, take back the Senate, and return President Trump to the White House,” said Speaker Johnson. “In less than six months as Speaker, we have hit the ground running to ensure House Republicans will have the resources necessary to win in battlegrounds across America – and we cannot slow down now. While families suffer under increasing inflation, rising crime, and open borders, we will stay focused on our goal to grow the majority in November and deliver solutions for our nation.”

In the latest quarter, Speaker Johnson raised more than $20 million overall, as the Speaker has now traveled to more than 20 states fundraising and stumping for candidates since October. The Speaker raised $7.9 million for leadership, incumbents, challengers, and committees through headlining events across the country and grassroots partnerships.

In addition, the Speaker’s joint fundraising and campaign committees distributed over $2.6 million to more than 70 candidates, parties, and entities in the first quarter. This means Speaker Johnson has now directed an additional $8.3 million into Republican campaign accounts around the country.

Since winning the gavel in October, Speaker Johnson has now raised more than $30 million for House Republicans.

Last week, it was announced the Speaker-endorsed Congressional Leadership Fund also raised $25 million in the first quarter of 2024, smashing a previous presidential cycle record of $5.4 million.
