Speaker Johnson Posts Record $82 Million in 2025, Puts House Republicans on Offense for Midterms
January 22, 2025
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Speaker Mike Johnson announced today he raised over $82 million for House Republicans in 2025, the largest amount ever raised in one year by a Speaker of the House. This includes over $16 million raised in the fourth quarter, which is also the largest off-year fourth quarter by a Speaker.
"House Republicans begin this critical election year by setting records, outpacing the Democrats, and solidifying a war chest to defend our incumbents and grow our majority," said Speaker Johnson. "Over the past year, House Republicans have worked hand-in-hand with President Trump to deliver lower costs, working families tax cuts, a secure border, and peace through strength - and we have tremendous support nationwide to continue delivering on our America First agenda. Our record haul over the past 12 months proves once again we are on offense and on pace to defy history in 2026."
In 2025, Speaker Johnson transferred $23.6 million to the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC). The Speaker also transferred $13.4 million, or an average of $453,000 per campaign, in hard dollars directly to incumbents in the past year, which is the most ever transferred to Members from a Speaker in a single year.
In addition to Speaker Johnson's direct fundraising haul last year, the Speaker's efforts also raised over an additional $10 million in 2025 for House Republicans and the election cycle through digital, mail, and Member events, including over $2 million raised directly for Members.
Overall, Speaker Johnson has now distributed over $46.3 million to Members, campaigns, committees, and state parties this cycle as he leads the effort to hold and grow the House Republican majority. This includes $11.6 million transferred in the fourth quarter, which nearly doubled initial estimates. Speaker Johnson’s latest fundraising efforts build on his record-setting efforts to begin the 2026 cycle.
